What are some other ways to relieve a cough for an 8 month old?

My daughter has an icky head cold. She is already taking medicine for her cough and runny nose. I've been suctioning her nose when needed. I've been giving her some water to help break of the phlegm. Is there anything else I can do to make her more comfortable?
