Anyone have a baby with strabismus?

I've noticed it for a while in pictures but I always thought it was me. Well at my daughter 9month well-check the doctor mentioned this after she finished her eye exam. Its intermittent crossing of mainly her right eye. She does it when she trys to focus on something close to her. I notice this all the time now and it looks as if her left eye sometimes does it also. We have an appt. with a pediatric ophthalmologist on November 10th so in the meantime I'm left to wonder what this means for her. If your child had intermittent strabismus what kind of treatment did they need? Gles, Gles and patch, surgery? How long does it usually take for the problem to be fixed or can it ever be permanently fixed?
