Silent phone calls: who/what is it?

For the past few days, I have been getting silent calls on my cell phone from someone listed as 'Unknown'. I have gotten them on Friday and Saturday at the same time in the afternoon, and once today earlier in the morning. They didn't call on Sunday. The calls last anywhere around 5-7 seconds long. Does this sound like it could be one of those automated calls, or something more sinister?
