My contacts have different texture?

My contacts were flimsy and seemed more soft and like moist but then i switched to this other name brand called like ummmm i forgot but it says resfresh across it (before i had the brand ReNu) also when i switched contacts case my contacts felt strong a bit harder and easy to make it stand in place...it has like different texture and i was wondering if me switching to a different brand of solution and contact case made my contacts different....please answer, THANKS! :] hope u understand what im trying to say
