Why do we calculate ourselves with money and time?

that would be for our parents to blame... they were the ones that thought us that food comes from money, shelter comes from money, so we tend to think that in order to survive, we do need money... they were the ones that thought us that we have to do things once, as we won't have a second chance, so time is important... damn you dad!...
